WALT: write a recount that informs and entertains your reader.

MARAE NOHO
Day one
It was a cold muggie thursday morning when rooms
3, 4 and 5 where powhiri on to Kohewhata marae,
the reason we where there was to learn about matariki and how to cook.

Obviously we got there on a bus, As we were being powhiri d on to the
marae by whaea mary we had to go through a big water puddle in BEAR FEET,
my feet felt like two ice blocks in a freezer and i'm sure everyone else's feet were too. As we made our way into and around the whare my feet slowly heated up, as we sat down papa vic stood up and stared to give us very long mihi to us manuihirir.
then sonny stood up and mihied back,
after all the whaikorero that went on in the
whare we went to the wharekai to break the taupu witch is called whakanoa.

Next we got split into groups but the year
8’s missed out we were the ones who had to cook lunch, diner and breakfast.
When got into the kitchen the first thing we did was wash our hands and
then we started to prep our lunch diner it took forever to do our prepping.
After all of that we started to get our beds ready,
then when had our showers the went to bed.

Essay waka-hoe

My speech ( do you think everyone should be treated equally)

I Think Everyone Should Be Treated Equally

Do you know that people who are treated equally are more likely to succeed in life?
people have different capabilities in life, and for them to have those capabilities they
need  to be treated with respect and aroha, we all come in different shapes and sizes it
doesn't matter how they walk or how they talk or even how they eat, YOU should be
the role model and take charge.

Hi my name is Jonas and i am here to talk to you all about treating people equally,
for a fact did you know that many people in New Zealand have risked their own lives.
So What is the point of many people risking their lives just to fight to the end?
Maybe there going though stress and depression or just having the feeling to give up.

We are all humans, Just because someone looks different gives you no reason or right
to treat them badly. Let me say it again, We-Are-All. Humans. Just because some are
not as wealthy as you may be who are you to judge them. We-Are-All. Humans.
So start acting like it and be there friend. If you go through these things as a teenager
ask for help from someone you trust it could be a family member or close friend or
even just to talk to someone. but  Be yourself no matter what happens.

I strongly believe that people should be treated equally no matter what they have
done throughout their lives or who they are. People are people and no matter what
or who they are at the end of the day are still humans built exactly the same way as
you and me just sometimes their only difference is that their minds think differently
to our own and the way they act.

So no matter how different you may be or they may be, you are still special and
you have the right to be treated equally and that's why i dearly believe everyone
should treated equally.
